How much money do you pay on rent?

Some 5 years ago, the rent was quite reasonable in Bangalore city, India. Now it has gone up by 40% to 50%. What was $100 for 1000 sq.ft. 2 bed room house, today it costs $250. I am paying $250 for 2 bed room house, it is centrally located, spacius lawn, car parking, well ventilated, quiet place, yet near to all the markets. How about you?

I pay on rent $150/month for a studio. I live in Jakarta, Indonesia. It's included cable tv, internet, and laundry.

Im in the process of looking for a new place to rent at the moment. I live in Melbourne, Australia. At the moment, I am paying $825.00 a month for a studio apartment (1 room, kitchen and bathroom). It is tiny about 4 steps from wall to wall. I am looking for a bigger place and have found that you don't pay for quality in the city, you pay for location. If you go out a little bit, you find better places for the same price but then you have to pay for parking everyday which is probably more. Its a catch 22 situation!

I pay $1000.00 dollar's a month plus $40.00 for an extra parking spot.
