Yes friends, today I want to discuss how the life was when I was newly married, but definitely want to know your condition also! I dressed up nicely,I had to wear much jewellery[which I did not like]as people you to visit to see the new bride,I wanted to rest in the afternoon but someone used to come and tell me that someone has come, so immediately to get up,apply some make-up,and then meet those strange faces[which slowly became familiar].New house, new people, new relations. Did that all happened to you?

In the Indian society it is usual and even routine. Nothing special about it. All of us have undergone such experiences. A bride or a bridegroom are VIPs on those days of their marriage. Mostly it is a pleasing experience, mingled with the nuptials of the newly wedded. Thank you eshaan.

It did not happen excally like that for me. I was 18 when we got married. I loved him so much I just wanted to play house. We lived in a duplex by a rail road tracks and in the flight line of the air force base. I did get use to the noise alas. He farmed at his parents home so he would go in to speak to his dad at the end of the day and his mom would feed him. The dummy ate and ate his full. So I would have to eat alone, and it would be after 9pm when he would come home. We soon had two children, he still farmed and ate at his parents home, the kids and I ate alone still. Now the kids are gone, we are still married. Dinner time is no big deal around here. If we eat together is no big deal to me. Lots of years of him spending dinner time with his parents taught me to eat alone or starve. LOL

Dear eshaan I am not married till now .. I am a spinster .. but I know the day will definitely come into my life as well and preparing myself for it .. though it's quite hard to wear much jewellery and lots of makeup all the time for many days .. I really hate applying makeup when at home .. I just believe in simple living while at home .. wearing loose clothes .. like shirt - pyjama or anything like this .. thinking about that days now .. how hard it will become to wear heavy suit or sarees for a long time -- but I am sure you must have enjoyed every part of it :)
