looking for a story - little seven years?

I remember reading a book with a story about a little girl called "Little Seven Years" or something like that when I was young. With the number of times we moved, it's no wonder most of the things we owned have been "discarded"...but I don't think my mother would have thrown this book away because it was one she enjoyed too. However, it is no longer in our possession, and I have tried looking for a replacement copy, but have not been able to do so. It's quite hard since I don't know the exact name of the book or the author/s of the story or even when it was published. All I know is the story that I remember came in a collection of other stories, all in one volume...and that's about it. If anyone has ever heard of this, and knows where I can locate a copy, I shall be very grateful!!
