apocalypto - APoclaypto - A tale set in the Mayan civilization. When a man's idyllic presence is brutally disrupted by a violent invading force, he is taken on a perilous journey to a world ruled by fear and oppression where a harrowing end awaits him.
It was a very violent movie set about 500 years ago. Directed by Mel Gibson who has been consistently and fairly doing his job well, the film turned out to be one of biggest surprises in years. I was completely engrossed wiht its story that transports one back to a pre-civilized time, when humans attempted to deal with the horrors of nature's plagues by offering sacrifices to the gods. The movie isn't merely amazing, it is one of the very best movies of the year, and it contains some of the best foot chases in cinematic history.

Yes definitely! Apocalypto is one of my favorites when it comes to movies...and Mel Gibson is absolutely getting all movie watchers their attentions with this awesome movie he was producing.
