Problem with gmail attachments.

So I was having a problem with some php scripts not working on a website I made. When I contacted support for the software I used to make the website, they wanted me to send them the project files in zip format. When I tried to send them this, gmail wouldn't let me send it. I kept getting an error saying that my attachment contained an executable file and that gmail doesn't allow sending these kinds of attachments for security reasons. So now I'm forced to send these files with my aol email which I hate doing because I only use my aol account for personal communications and not for business. Has anyone else ever had this problem with gmail before?

I'm glad it's not just me. This sucks though. I never had a problem with gmail before and thought they were one of the best free email sites. I guess they still are very good, if you don't have attachments do deal with.

I only use gmail for personal stuff and have never tried to send executable files using my gmail account. I have never had any problems with gmail.
