Readers Digest conducted a poll to find who are more or less courteous - and Mumbai people were found to be the least - I always thought that Indian are still polite and courteous - so did they just meet a certain section of population of mumbai - after all it is a very large city with big population. What do you think about it?

I'm indian and i think that the poll is true. Mumbai is a very big, polluted, crowded place. They tend to get a little rude. But mumbai is a great money-making place. It's kind of like going to Los Angeles or even Newyork. What language do you speak? Hindi, Marati

I live in Ahmedabad - Gujarat and speak Hindi and Gujarati besides English. I think they did not mean rudeness but more like people not opening doors for ladies or rushing to pick up something that a stranger has dropped, in most big cities you will see that people are more self centered and this may not be discourtesy but apathy.
