I think it is going to be randy orton. After the Cena and Lashley battle, Orton will be built up to be the number one contender...

I think all of those guys are already big superstars, they really fit the bill as "top-tier" level guys with the ability to hold major championships. There were a few guys I have been high on, but I think one guy who I think the WWE should focus more on developing is Carlito. I think that with the right gimmick and the right feud, there could be no end to what he could be in the WWE. He was down for a bit, and that entire Ric Flair and Torrie Wilson angle was kinda cheesy and lame, but I think he can be a main-eventer who could give the WWE great matches and good personality. A guy like Ken Kennedy is also a possibility, although I think that he might be in danger of getting buried on RAW as it seems as though they are willing to let Orton be the top 'heel' contender. Hopefully, the "next" Raw Superstar will be a returning one... as in "Y2J!" There have been reports that Chris Jericho has been in talks with the WWE for a fall return... I guess I can only cross my fingers for that one.

Briefly perhaps but the impending return of HHH is likely to give him the belt before long. I kind of see King Booker getting fed to Hunter initially then he will get his run of title shots (very possibly against Orton), culminating in a win at Survivor series. For Hunter, its good to be married to the boss. Personally I would prefer RVD, but it looks like we will have to wait for him to jump to TNA before he gets a push again.
