How do you get referrals?

How do you guys go about getting referrals? I don't want to bother my friends too much, but I know that myLot is AWESOME and actually pays out. What methods have you guys used to obtain some referrals. I only have one right now, and she never posts anymore. :(
Any oppinons are greatly appreciated. I always rate and usually respond to replays!!!
