I know it sounds stupid, but I was going to a lake, and my iPod batteries went critical, but every time I passed a power line, it went back up into green for a few seconds.

Haha, well according to physics, when there are electrons moving through a wire it creates a magnetic feild around the wire (a simple electromagnet). Now the same is true when a magnetic field moves across a wire. But with thtat said i highly doubt that it has a strong enough field to actually charge an iPod, but there are some products that use this technology (check out www.splashpower.com for example.

lol that is funny. I don't think you should drive under too many power lines just to recharge your ipod though. If it is doing that to your electronic equipment just think what it is doing to your brain! Safer to stick with the conventional methods of plugs and cables I think. Still it could be useful if you were stuck out in the middle of nowhere and just wanted to hear that one favorite track!

it will not charge the battery but it may temporarily allow you to use the remaining charge better. This makes the ipod think it is more charged then it actually is

that would be crazy. those ipod batteries i have found to be pretty inaccurate anyways, so my guess is it's just a coincidence

lol I would guess no but if you get the right adapter it will charge your ipod for you. I got mine and Best Buy and am glad I did. I'd paste a link but it won't let me yet.
