I am in the process of starting a graphic design and multimedia business. I never thought it would be so hard. The business plan alone has taken me about 3 months to complete and now it's time to start looking at all the necessary equipment and software. Are there any graphic designers who can help me make my business successful? Some advice would be very appreciated especially when it comes to the best software to buy and so on. I was thinking of using open source software, but the titles I've tried out are very dull and lack the sophistication of titles such as Photoshop Elements/CS, Macromedia Fireworks MX and etc.
