How do you control your teens usage of their cell phone?

by not getting them in the first place...or barring outgoing....

I have a daughter, so I feel a lot safer when she is out with friends when she has her cell. If anything happens she can call me or 911.

I gave my kids prepaid cell phones so they are responsible for their cell phone use. Pretty smart, eh? I get a real kick out of some of tbese kids walking around chatting on their cell phone unconscious of that is going on around them. They will be in with a small group of friends and chatting on their phones! I am an adult and don't see the need for a cell phone that much! Do you think young people lack the social skills adults have becuase of the internet and cell phones?
