Opinion on 3d animated characters on website

I am thinking of buying a 3d animation software to use in order to make my website look unique and attractive. I was just wondering if anyone could suggest a 3d animation software i can use that is user friendly and easy to use. What are your thoughts on 3d characters on websites? Would you think it looks more appealing? Give me your thoughts and opinions! Thanks!!

flash 8? flash mx? there great, and search and download flash templates for them aswell, try warez-bb.org, gotta sign up for it but everythings free, software, templates, games, anything really...

There're several great programs out there, a great one is 3D studio max. However consider what you put on your website - too much graphics just look bad. Nice effects can have the oppisite effect if it's over done.
