I've looked at ebid before but never used it. You can without a doubt say that ebay is the more commonly known brand name as far as online auctions go so anything else has a heck of a big name to go up against and i don't know of any which are doing well from it. Because sellers have built up their trade and feedback on ebay they are reluctant to move from there because their customers are on ebay and not somewhere else so it would mean the sellers having to coax their buyers over to the new auction site in which case alot of buyers would just go and buy from another seller on ebay so it's not worth it for the sellers. When i have looked at other auction sites i tend to notice that they are not really auctions they are buy it nows because the sellers don't want to loose money from putting things on auction at 1p and then one bidder coming along and winning so everything gets put up on buy it nows which again will put alot of buyers off anyway so you can't win. Unless ebay goes bust or something ( i doubt it very much ) it will be hard for any other auction site to compete with them.

I use ebid occasionally. THe good thing is there are no fees unlike ebay, but you don't get as many people there as on ebay, so you have to weigh up what is moreimportant to you, cheap listings or maximum exposure for your items.

I only used Ebay now, but I am open to try others. I think Ebay is hard to beat.

i have used ioffer before and it was great. i have sold and bought stuff there. it is alot cheaper then ebay as well. it is set up alittle different but it is very easy to use. ebay is a good place to find things and sell them but the prices for putting things on there has got to be high in my opinion. that and so many try to scam you too. like the thing might be 1.00 to get it but the shipping is a 100.00 sad. then there are those that send broken things too. i have dealt with ebay for many years and well it is a good site but always check the person feedback. i am sure you know this though. i offer is nice though. give them a look.
