Do you think that seats on the rides at carnivals and such and the seats on airplanes should be made larger to accomodate those who are obese?

I feel that they should have seats made to accomodate larger people. Don't they say that most Americans are overwieght? People who are large show not have to made to feel left out. I worked with a girl who was quiet large. When the clients wanted to go and do someting she was limited to what she could do with them. And to go to an amusement park was out of the question.

So you don't think that changing such things would be simply encouraging this lifestyle and reassuring people of their unhealthy habits?

i think it fits well :) but prbably if they made it larger then the planes seats would tak up mostly the planes spaces

Yeah, I think changing a row or 2 for larger seats would do well. Certainly this could prove a tad embarressing for some but really... if there are going to be changes to the size of seats to encourage unhealthy living... why not make it a tad uncomfortable so perhaps they will think about their choices?

Seats on airplanes and buses should be made larger. The population is getting older and older people are not as skinny as they once were. These are the people who are going on tours and trips, not the younger people who are in college and working. I am a large woman, I do not look it because I have a good figure, but some of the seats, I can barely sit into. Think what would happen if I weighed three hundred pounds.

Simply weighing 300lbs does not mean you can't fit into the seats. I have a friend who weighs such and fits easily into the seats. That said - most of my family is overweight but even the "large women" know how to take care of themselves so that they do not get to the point of being unable to fit into the seats.
