I have either seen the movie and haven't read the book . Or I have read the book and haven't seen the movie. There is one exception of sorts. I saw Tales Of The City on t.v. And then I read More Tales of the City. How about you?

I watched 'Anne of Green Gables' and the subsequent other TV movies made from the Anne of Green Gables books. I thought they were excellent. I first watched them as a child. Watching them makes me a little sad now. I guess a better word is nostalgic.

I have read all of Jane Austen's all of Charles Dickens and saw most of the movies, except for some little known ones. As for the modern books, I have seen the movie but have not read the books. I wouldn't mind reading LA Confidential because I really liked the movie and another one, would be Breakheart Pass. In some cases, I find the book is better than the movie since they cannot show everything in two and a half hours.

Yes that's true that you can't film so great parts of some books.I saw L.A. Confidential but I haven't read the book. But I have read a James Ellroy book.He is a good writer.
