Different cultures - different customs - are they related to climate?

The customs of different countries are just the opposite - in India we remove our shoes as a sign of respect before entering temples or other's homes, it is considered rude in Europe. We cover our heads before entering a temple or before our elders while the western people raise their hats to elders while greeting and wear hats to church - are these differences due to the climate - it is cold in Europe and hot in most parts of India so we remove shoes and cover our heads.

Partly Yes. I think the climate and environment of the place will place a major role in shaping the culture of the place. Wearing a coat was practiced in the Western world since most of the places are cold and they needed that to keep them cold. But in India, even though the place is hot, some wear the Coat, since they saw the people wearing them in the western world.

I think there is a little bit related to the climate. But the big reason is customs, cultures.
