Do you have Insurance of any type? What are you insured for? Home? Health? Life Insurance? Car Insurance? how much do you pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly towards this type of Insurance? Post up all, I have an appointment tomorrow, looking at changing companies and adding extra contents to our Insurance Policy and Plan... Thanks in advance to all comments made...

Have you ever heard the saying "Insurance poor"? Well thats me, I have insurance for everything even renters insurance. I live in an apartment and this insurance covers my belongings in the apartment, right down to the lost sock in the drawer. Car insurance, life insurance, medical insurance, dental insurance, hospital insurance, If it can be insured then I must have it insured. So with all the money paid out for insurance I'm called "insurance poor" because that's where my money goes. My car insurance is the highest $198 per month. Medical insurance is $188 per month, Dental insurance is least at $14 per month.

Insurance poor? LOL You're what my husband would call a victim of economic crime. He hates insurance and if he had his way we wouldn't have any. I cannot afford not to have home insurance and car insurance is compulsory here (as I think it is in all countrie?). I can't believe your medical insurance is nearly $200 there, then again we pay national insurance contributions through our salaries throughout our lives so it's compulsory to make payments towards the NHS!

I have car insurance which is compulsory here, mine is now £175 a year which is because I have a clean driving record and maximum no claims discount. I have home insurance which includes building and contents insurance which is about £300 a year, which is £200 less than I paid with my previous insurer for the same level of cover. I have life insurance included as part of my benefits package at work but basically it means if I die in service my nominated beneficiaries will get 3 times my annual salary! I don't have health insurance, I've worked full time since I was 17 and paid taxes and national insurance so I expect to get my medical treatment for free! Don't have any other insurance that I can think of :)

We have house insurance, car insurance, medical insurance (Blue Cross), but I do not know what we pay. My husband pays it. We do belong to ING Direct for our house and car insurance and Blue Cross for our medical insurance, but we live in Canada and have free hospital insurance. We will have to pay our own medical. We will have to get our roof fixed and when we do, will have to add a rider to our house insurance anyway. It is replaceable for cost. You would do well to check for an insurance broker. We found ING direct very good for us.
