i need sleeep!

i love my sleep but when i'm working i can never relax to get a proper nights sleep as i'm always worried about the next day, and it sounds stupid, (as if you knew what my job was you'd just laugh...it's not that stressful!) but i just can't relax and then i'm always knackered after 6 hours of broken sleep, waking up every 2 hours. i just feel like everyone else manages perfectly well on a little sleep and i'm the only one who can't handle it! i need at least 9 hours!!! "sleep" sounds really weird after saying it 50 times....so i'm going to stop now! does anyone know how to get a good nights worth of...?

How about learning to meditate and lighting up scented candles to help you relax. Just give it a try!

You have just decribed my sleep pattern. I hate it, I haven't had a good night's sleep for at least 5 years. I get up to go to the bathroom, every couple hours, and take what seems like forever, to go back to sleep, and then I usually start getting really sleep about an hour, before I have to get up, and then I really feel bad when my alarm goes off. I only get about 3 hours of sleep at night, and it's really wearing me out. I hate having to get up early, which makes me hate my job.

oh no....that happens to me too....i wake up like 2 hours before i have to get up and half an hour before i have to get up i'm ready to go to sleep again! that's the worst....coz then you find you just get mad at yourself! i hope you can work out a way that works for you to help you get a good nights sleep....:O)

The only way I can think of, is winning the lottery, and quitting my job. lol That's a cute little dog. Take care.

just try to relax your mind before you go to sleep... like reading a novel that you like and drink a glass of warm milk... and for me, i also pray to God everytime before i go to sleep... it works for me though... i only wake up once at night to go to the toilet and that's it... good luck...

I am one of those people who really needs a full 8 hours of sleep.I get a sore throat and all sorts of problems when i have been too short on sleep for too long. I know sometmes when you know you are going to have a stressful day tomorrow it makes it very hard to sleep tonight.

Actually, my daughter is the same way as far as how much sleep she needs. She has to get at least 8 hours or she can't function. I am the opposite- give me 3 or 4 and I can usually get through the day. I don't know why that is. I just think that some people require more sleep than others. Have you ever tried taking a sleeping pill to help you sleep at night? I do occasionally!

it's really strange that some people need more than others, i wish i could manage on 4! i haven't actually tried sleeping tablets as such, but i do sometimes take Valerian which is just meant to relax you, i find it does help a little, but i think with the herbal stuff your body may just gets used to it :O)

A good night sleep is very much important . I know in this busy world its very much tough to get a good night sleep as you have to take lots of tensions about everything. To get a good sleep I keep myself so busy so that at the end of the day, I feel very much tired. That results a very good sleep..so keep yourself busy through out the day and have a good sleep in night

thanks for your response! you're right, life is very demanding and this means people get very stressed because of this. there is too much pressure on people to work! if we didn't have to work, then people would sleep easier :O)
