what era would you like to live in?

the movie forrest gump was playing on the weekend, so we watched it and i have always been interested in american history during the late 50's to the early 70's and wish that i would have been older during that time...
also, i wish taht i was around during the turn of the 20th century - that would have been a fascinating time because of all the new inventions!

La Belle Epoque, because I'm seriously in love with that era... preferably in Paris, if I could choose. My other choice would be London in the late 70's. It would be wicked to have been there when punk rock was new and fresh. :D

That is a good question. I am rather torn on that one. While I like the convenience and opportunity of this era, I like the safety of past eras where there was not so much crime in the world. Also, the music of the past is much more enjoyable, to me.

Take me back to when things was more relaxed, neighbours friendly, everyone was like an extended family and you'd never believe anyone would do anything out of line.
I'd love to go back then. 1950/early 70's... between then when I wouldn't mind.
