I recently heard about this site called freecycle where you can give things away, you advertise them through email through the freecycle web site and people that are interested email you and you give the item to them, you can not sell anything you have to give it away, now I recently joined this site and I cant believe what people are asking for, there was a woman the other day who wanted a lap top for her child and another one who wanted about $2000 worth of parts for their car, they put up a wanted email for these, are these people for real???? Do they seriously think that people are just going to give these things away or am I the weird one for thinking that they are just being cheap

Yes they are for real! LOL and no you are not crazy for thinking that they are nuts! But think about it if you had an older laptop just laying around collecting dust then you might be willing to just give it away, or if you happen to have 2000 dollars worth of car parts laying around LOL that you didnt need, hey some people do but not that many. Ive actually got a desktop computher from free cycle it wasnt that new it had windows ME on it I got it for my daughter to use to play games and watch movies on and its still working! So its a good site but yes some people are really asking for a lot on there!

Some people do ask for a lot. But hey, it never hurts to ask, right? I've gotten a lot of great stuff from freecycle, and I've given some good stuff away, as well. I've seen people give away laptops, cell phones, aquariums, curio cabinets, and other high ticket items. I even got a dvd recorder thing once. It is a great site. It helps to keep a lot of stuff out of the landfills. :o)
