Do your fingers ever write something that you don't recall?

I was recently in a discussion with an Athiest, whom I respect. And I was responding to a response from someone else. When i looked at the response the following day, I was amazed at what I had written, because I didn't recall writing it. It was something I would have said, but not something I often state. It threw me a bit. So, am I crazy? Do you ever write something that you agree with, but don't recall?

Yup, you're crazy. About as crazy as I am, I'd guess. =p I do this all the time actually, and since you didn't mention doing it often, I'm probably crazier than you, now that I think about it. =P Seriously, especially if I've been online for a while, I don't recall everything I responded to or what all I said, though I don't think I've ever caught myself saying something I didn't mean. Usually those posts are the ones that come across as either more emotional than usual or completely logical, with no emotion involved. I have no idea why.

thats true ... being online kicks our brains bad ... we are not even aware that a world outside internet exists when we are online ... crazy isn't it??

But, let me know if we are on the same page, it's not bothersome to me. I'm agreeing with everything I say, I just don't remember saying it. LOL Trust me, I know how it is to keep one eye and ear on a young child while trying to relate a feeling or thought. My kids are more important. But I often find the post to be brilliant. I just don't remember it. LOL

Actually I have to be aware the outside world exists, because usually when I'm online I'm also keeping half an eye on my 1-year-old son, which could also be why I don't always remember what I write, because I'm only half paying attention. =P

Yes! At times when I let my temper get the best of me, I do. I go back the next day and I am like "WOW", I really said that?? It's embarrassing to say the least cause I just let my emotions take over and the next day when I am fine, I have forgotten all about it. LOL, it’s like invasion of the body snatchers.

My big problem is that I totally agree with me. I'm reading what I've written and I say, "right on." but I can't recall the process. The bible discussions are a huge one for me. I think I may be on automatic pilot sometimes. Sucks being the child of a minister sometimes. But it's funny and when they cant counter or they come back with a spring response (not being mean, spring, just and observation) it makes me laugh all the more because I was not in my right mind when I answered.

This happens to me quite a lot. I am often asked to write a study/lesson/message on a set subject and reply immediately "I can't do that!" and really, I know I can't. After putting it off for a while, I start - and keep going - and when I've finished and I read it, I think - (correction: I KNOW) - that it wasn't me who wrote it. I sit there amazed, humbled, and privileged. Earlier this week, because of an email from an ex myLot member, I read through some of our earlier discussions and had the same feelings. I was again amazed at what I had written in responses. I could not remember writing them - or at least, not the actual things I had said.

Usually happens to me late at night. I tell myself that I won't post anything after 10, but it can be fun to see what i've written the next day. LOL
