Professionals on myLOT???

I've come across a few discussions where at least one member has responded claiming to have a professional degree related to the discussion topic. I've actually found a few of these posts to be very informative and have applied the information in my personal life. I'm just curious...for those of you with professional degrees, what are your primary reasons for participating on myLot? Are you here for the extra cash? Do you just enjoy the discussions? Is this just another way you allow the public to benefit from your knowledge? Either way, thank you for your contribution. For the rest of you, what do you think their motivation is?

I too have come accross a few proffessions here on mylot. They always have helped me in certain situations. I think their motivation is just as ours is, to interact with many different people, learn new things, make friends, ect. They may not need the money, but hell, the money isn't much so us nonprofessionals cannot really say money is the only reason we're here! At least this is how I feel. I too think they enjoy helping others in certain situations where their knowledge is very helpful.

Oh, I definately agree that the money is probably not the sole motivation for anyone on here. If so, they must be working overtime to earn. I'm making close to nothing, yet I still log on everyday to take a look at what new discussions I can contribute to. So, I understand your point.
