In almost every country, It is stipulated in the law that people go on their right. Specially, People in GB and former colonies of BG go on their left. Can any one explain the origin of this tradition?

Your question dates back to 1700 A.D. while riding a wagon, the wagon rider sat to the right of his seat so that the whip he uses to drive his horses doesn't hang up on his passengers.. this later became a practice in all vehicles driving at left in duecourse in England.. I suppose due to the same reason, people walk on the left side of the road.. much in the same way where ongoing vehicles drive on the right, people walk on the right. see www.i18nguy.com/driver-side.html

i guess the tradition of britons goin on their left is older than their modern counterparts. I guess the reason for this is the difference in belief between the britons and the americans. America was made by the rebel. So, they started doin things the opposite of what britons would do. Americans started the law of people goin to the right. they even came out with american football which was actually played with the hands and renamed football as soccer.
