What are some good exercises?

I would really like to know what are some exercises that can be done without weights? I'm trying to lose a couple pounds but I don't want to look too muscular. I have been doing sit-ups and push-ups and running in place for 5 mins. I do them like 2-3 times a week. Do you work-out on a daily basics? What are some exercises do you do?

It's really almost impossible for women to become too muscular without taking steroids. I'm assuming you're not doing that, so you should be fine. If you're lifting weights, lift lighter weights with more repetitions to tone instead of lifting heavier weights to bulk. I mainly walk for my exercise. I walk pretty fast and keep it going for about an hour and I find that has enormous benefits for me. If it's raining or too hot, I do exercise videos in my living room. I have a ten pound dumbbell that I use to strengthen and tone my arms when I'm watching TV at night. Pilates and yoga are good for building stamina and core strength. Swimming is excellent cardiovascular exercise. Aerobics and boxing are fun and get the heart pumping. Running is good, but I don't think you're getting much benefit if you only do it for 5 minutes. It doesn't really matter what you do, so long as you get your heart rate elevated and keep it elevated for 45 minutes or so each day. And of course, more weight is lost in the kitchen than in the gym. Take a look at your current diet. Is it healthy? Are there things you could do better on? Is what you're doing sustainable (not a fad diet that only works short-term)? If you overhaul the way you're eating so that you're getting optimal nutrition with the foods you eat and getting adequate exercise, you'll start seeing results in no time. good luck. :)

I'll start lifting like 3 lbs. weights and working out longer. I also get some fitness videos from netflix.com every once in a while. And I try to remember some of those moves and use them. lol. I'm going to try yoga. I like kickboxing and boxing so I'm going to try that too. Thanks for all the help.

sounds like your cardio is good, just use some of the pillates to strengthen your core and gorge on veggies and fruits and you'll loook like angelina jolie's twin sister.

I took 'walking medicine' 30 minutes everyday as my exercise routine.

Was "walking medicine" some sort of class at a gym or like a video tape?
