Are you Superstitious?

Throughout History, mankind has been sticking itself to different sorts of superstitions. Many were explained by natural phenomena that they couldn't conceive, but others were plainly irrational, some of which still survive nowadays. Do you find yourself to be a superstitious person? does superstition change or modify your life in any aspect? I think I'm not superstitious at all, how about you friends?

I suppose I am. I carry a piece of hematite in my purse at all times. It is said to ward off evil spirits. If I don't have my purse, the piece goes in my pocket or I wear a bit of hematite jewelry. I knock on wood if talking about something that hasn't happened to me. I have a rosary in both of my cars, even though I am not religious. Never hurts to be on the safe side. I don't think any of these modify my lifestyle, they are just things that I have always done. The rosary since I could drive, the hematite since I was a child. My grandfather was Native and gave it to me as a gift. I have knocked on wood as look as I can remember. They are just everyday things to me.

as i said, if they don't modify your life into a silly point, then it's fine...and btw dreamcatchers are beautiful even as simple decorating stuff :)

I'm not superstitious and I don't think superstitions can modify my way of living! These have been created only to make people more frightened to do stuffs.

partly they were created for that...but other times they were also the only way that ancient people had of explaining what surrounded them: natural disasters, etc. So in a way it was good. But obviously they have also been used as power tools, and that's not good.

Not really. That being said I also don't believe in taking chances. I don't walk under a ladder if I don't have to but I do own a black cat...well she's a dark chocolate color but looks black when she's not in the sun. !!HAPPY EASTER!! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Lightnin Honey - I know a lot of superstitions but I don't agree with any of them! Superstition does not influence my life at all- most of it is just twaddle! xxx
