Algebra, HELP!

I've been out of school for a long time now. I am back at it and I am having a hard time with Algebra. Please help. I can't get this multiplicative inverse thing down. Can you tell me which is correct for the multiplicative inverse of 5/6 a. 6/5 b. -6/5

the answer would be letter a. 6/5. multiplicative inverse would always equal to 1 if you would multiply the two fractions. 5/6 x 6/5 = 1. positive one.

always remember that the multiplicative inverse or reciprocal is the denominator over the numerator of the original fraction.You can check it by multiplying it to the original fraction.The correct answer should be equal to 1.

the correct answer is 6/5 cause to calculate the inverse of any number all u hv to do is divide 1 per that number!! since u got a fractional number 1/(5/6)= 6/5!! hope that was helpful!! and good luck on ur studies!
