I would love to be able to meditate, I wish someone could explain axactly how to do it, as I have a very active mind I just can not switch it off, if any one has some secret technique would be good if you could share it us all, I do believe it is very good for you to do this.

Meditation is not directly switching off our mind. Its actually going along with the natural tendency of our mind. And the natural tendency of our mind is to look for unlimited happiness which it doesn't get anywhere in the worldly affairs. So, with meditation we make our mind explore the deeper horizons of consciousness where it experiences the blissful state and thereby it attains a deeper happiness. So, if you think your mind is very active and hence you are unable to meditate, please take that feeling out immediately. Go to any of your nearest Transcendental Meditation Center and learn the technique there and enjoy the blissful state of mind as millions of them are enjoying in the world.

meditation is a process through which we can get the complete peace of mind.We can utilise our part of body energy that is wasted or not used or remains sleeping.Through meditation our will-power is immensely increased, which helps us increase our immunity. It is a slow process requiring a lot of patience. Some methods of medidation I know are like :- Pranayams, or u can sit in a place with closed eyes and think about the "OMM" in ur mind, say at lest 108 times.Or u can perform meditation while lying down in a particular posture.Meditation is done mainly at dawn, with less noise and maxmum pure air.
