Unverified PayPal - What does it mean?

My paypal is unverified but what does that mean? I know it's becouse i haven't added any credit card but does that limit my use of paypal in any ways? Can I buy stuff on ebay with a unverified account?
I haven't earned enough money to see if i can buy things so I'm not able to check it out. Dear friends on mylot, please help me!

your paypal account is unverified of mean is you have not add your credit card ,have not add credit card of PayPal account to be call "unverified PayPal account".
Unverified PayPal account send money and receive money is limited in $500 ,have been added credit card of PayPal account that send money and receive money inhance $2000.
Unverified PayPal account to be can buy stuff on ebay,because PayPal money is a election money that it can buying online!
