Self employment? Do u have your own buisness?

I don't have my own business, but if I did I'd love to be an owner or a partner in owning a scrapbooking shop. I love scrapbooking! It's such a homey way of preserving memories and moments. not just those posed pictures, but those pictures of moments of joy and surprise or sulky moments of kids. kids are so precious and as they grow up they change so fast and i think scrapbooking is the best way of journaling alongside and keeping those memories. also scrapbooking wedding photos and moments like that has been fun for me! there are so many products and so many new techniques it'd be doing something i love!

Well it's not quite a full-fledged business yet. I've only learned computers about four years ago, but right away, I saw the potentials here with a computer, and especially a film scanner. I had been a successfully published freelance photographer from 1980 to 1996...then weird detours got in the way. Once I did learn computers I saw how I could develop an on-line business with my photography, but since I was stuck using the free computers at my library couldn't accomplish much---that is until February, when low and behold was able to get the computer system I wanted--so slowly but surely I'm transferring my slide images into digitized...and have built up a website--still building it....plus I just developed another website to show off my crafts that I make....So I really have my work cut out for me, between my photo work, doing crafts, writing, being here...gee, sure wish there were 60 hours in a day...LOL

I'm considered self-employed even thou I draw a check from the Daily Journal every 2 wks. I'm a motor-route carrier AND a foot carrier. 3 routes in total delivering papers to either ppls porches or to tubes at the end of their driveways. I enjoy my job being I have noone to answer to and I get to chat with my wonderful customers whenever they happen to be outside when I pass by.

I have an in home daycare that I have run for 15 yrs. I am actually a certified school teacher and decided to start a daycare when my oldest was 2 and my second was born. I have loved staying home and being my own boss.

I own a little dry retailer store in front of the house where I sell grocery items for a number of clients. I am into autoload and electronic loading transactions for cellphone users who ask for smaller amounts. We have the so-called prepaid plan which you only pay small amount of money to be able to call or send text messages. I have been into these kind of businesses since fours years ago. I had tried the internet cafe business but it didn't last long.

Yes I do...in fact I have two businesses. The first one is my writing company called Perspectives On Healthy Living. I am a free lance writer, journalist and author and write about anything pertaining to the name of my company. The second company I run with my hubby. We are life coaches and group facilitators and write, produce and present a variety of dynamic living seminars under our comapany Fresh Beginnings. My husband also has a computer service company where he provide technical support to companies and businesses. Even though being self-employed can create a 'feast and famine' pattern at times once we learned to budget our time, energy and money and live within our means we'd rather be our own bosses than ever go back to working for someone else. So you asked...there you have it.
