What do you do when you cann't sleep at night ?

i didn't have this problem of not getting sleep.but yes whenever its late from my usual time of sleep it takes some more time to fall asleep.so i just get a book and start reading it and withing minutes i fall asleep.i never watch tv.that would distract me and i will loose my sleep.

this is my biggest problem i had so far. no matter how tired and sleepless i am, i just can't make it when i lay down to bed. i tried taking pills adn some syrupy drinks but none of them worked for me. i tried getting up and reading a book or watching tv, i even tried counting the lambs! but neither of them heloed me. last week i was listening to music from my cell phone. the next day when i woke up i had a look at the song list to find the song that i don't remember listening. so i could find the music that makes me sleep. and there it was! a classic song from yumeji's theme. now i've been working on it about a month and i think it really works.

i usually look around the net on my laptop and post on mylot, as thinking of good responses and questions make me tireder and stops the boredem of trying to sleep, or i will read a book as this to helps me pas time and become tireder. I find if i do not do anything i just lay there thinking about stupid things or worrying about things i have done/ have got to do, which in turn means i can't sleep coz i'm thinking to much so i try to keep out of that vicious cycle.

I am lucky, the only time I cant sleep at night, is when I am working at night. But if i couldnt fall asleep, I would read a little that makes me sleepy, or try two tylenol sometimes that is just enough to help you relax and fall asleep. Over the counter benadryl may help too, it will make you drowsy for sure. There are a very small percentage of people who bendadryl will make hyper but for most people it will make you sleepy
