Sick and tired of being a call center agent?

I've been working with 5 different call centers already. And I could say that I am SUPER DUPER bored with the job. I worked with People Support, Global Communications, Qualfon Contact Services, Teletech and Caltek. At first, I get so excited of the job but eventually I grew tired of doing the same thing. I tried applying for another job that's not in the bpo industry. But I get so frustrated because of the low salary. Sometimes, I am confused on what to do.Please give me advice.

Still many wants to enter call center jobs. and many here are asking tips on how to get into it. true, other jobs here are low-paying. and I have been to routine jobs too. Perhaps you have to think of a job you really like to do. Maybe youre a dynamic person. I can't really give advice but I guess you have to evaluate fully what you want and steps to get in it.

You should prepare yourself of what you want to be and want to do...you're well paid, unlike us...but there's no pressure...what is important is you earn at the same time you are happy of your work.

Thanks butterfly 39 for responding and thanks a lot for the advice. I really appreciate it. What i like about working with call centers is that the promotion is fast and the pay is good. The only thing that I really don't like is that you get bored with the same work. I could say that I am kinda lucky because I've been exposed to 5 call centers already and I gained knowledge about a particular account. I am a civil engineering graduate yet I know a lot of different things not related to civil works because of my work experience. And I am so happy and proud of it. One thing that I can't handle is the pressure. In every call, we are monitored. And quality analysts record our calls for monitoring purposes. I am somewhat happy with my work because I am earning and at the same time the job is easy. On the other hand, I am a bit sad and lonely because I missed attending a lot of important occasions and holidays because of work..:( Good luck to both of us. Thanks butterfly39. Take care

I know how you feel..I didn't work for a lot of call centers, but I have been with c-cube for 2 years and 2 months before I resigned. I felt like everything was routine and stressful that I quit the job without a back-up plan. Right now I'm earning half the salary I used to get but I'm fine with it. I think you should decide about what you want. It's so difficult to find a job that will enjoy, challenge and pay you better at the same time. I chosed the shortcut, but it's hard to adjust from earning so much to earning so little. I'm enjoying my work, I'm not getting tired and I'm with friends, so I'm ok with it. Good luck!
