why is it that you're there to help and customers' keep yelling when it's not even your fault? i get paid for being yelled at, swear by clients and hanged up. but i love my job.

I am going to make a confession here, I used to get angry when telemarketers would ring me, I think because some would never take no for an answer and they always seemed to call at dinner time, but I can honestly say since I have been posting here at Mylot I now understand the people behind the telemarketers, so I guess I have learnt a lot by being here in Mylot, to be nicer to people who are just trying to earn a living...I admire you for doing this job and praise you for still liking your job so much...

thank you so much lilaclady. that comment inspired me so much at work. the answer "no" that we don't take is only the soft "no's" but if the customer really sounded like they are really not interested and would never be interested then that's the time we give up because we're also not allowed to insist with the clients. i also understand the clients frustrations and we really wished we could help a lot but we also got company rules to follow. and that made us in between the relationship of the company and the client. thank you so much for that wonderful response.

I appreciate the work you do very much as an ex directory telephone operator, we too got a few nasty calls but nothing like I know you get, you keep just being nice and you will always win...
