I recently downloaded iTunes on my computer. I started listening to the radio stations music only. I then ventured out and went to talk radio. I was looking for the Cost-to-Cost show with George Nory the one Art Bell use to host. What is did find was something even better. I found two sites that play the old radio programs from the 1950's o 1960s and even older ones. I have listen to Jack Benny, Drag Net, the Whistler, The Beat; which was a live radio show like "Cops" I am loving it. I love to play the shows all the time. I am assuming 24 hours a day; I am not up for that long so I do not know for sure. The stations are ACB classic radio trove classic radio for the blind. And the other station I have been listening to is AM 1710 Antioch, Old time radio for today’s date. That is where I have listen to shows from 1954 and older. Do any of you love the old time radio shows?

Do you listen to these shows on the internet? If so, can you tell me the url for the shows? Or do you have to buy them from iTunes?

They are totally freeeeeeeeeeee. I downloaded iTunes which is free off the internet. Downloading iTunes took me a while but once that was done, I opened up the main page. The main page in the top left hand cornor is a menu which has music, movies, TV shows, Podcasts, and radio. I open the Raido and there is several catagories. I scaned down and opened up Talk radio. Once that is opened I picked AM 1710 Antioch which is talk radio old time stories. There is so many radio stations you can listen to it is wonderful. Some of them are free and some you have to pay for. 1710 Antioch is free and ABC Treasure Trove is also free. I love it . I am listening to the Whistler as I type. Good luck Let me know if you need any more help.

I love old time radio shows. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:00 PM to midnight, AM 740 http://www.am740.ca broadcasts lots of wonderful old radio shows. Brian P also broadcasts little comedy bits from old time radio shows on Monday nights throughout his show between 7 and 11 PM.

I am a great fan of radio and i all the time start it first and then do my work, whether it is cooking in the kitchen or sitting on computers, first i switch on the radio,it is 'on' at present too. I think there are a great variety of music on radios, rather than on cd's.The main thing that why i love it is the suspense that which song is to come next. When we listen to cd all songs are known to us serially and we know which is the next song, that ends the interest in the music.

Another thing I like about the radio is the current news and contests they hold. I never can get through to be the right caller but I try.
