Is it worthy to upgrade membership in GPT sites?

I have reached the payout in some of my GPT and they also has an option to use the payout to upgrade my membership in that site. Does it works well to upgrade? There are lot of things I should get better if i upgrade but how much they are real? have you any idea? I have upgraded only one so far and i got 13 referrals under me, but they are not active, so this is only luck or what?

I have heard people say that they have upgraded and it has been a lousy investment. I am on a few of those sites and I just do what I can with the free part, and I'm happy with that. I am not going to pay money because of something that MIGHT happen.
