I read this book when I was still in high school, knew about it in a computer shop where I once worked. A frequent customer came in with a copy of this book. Curious, I borrowed it from her and glanced at the first few pages. The setting being in the era of Martial Law in the Philippines, the protagonist a certain Jose (or Pepe) who chooses not to have his hair cut short and a rebellious air in him, and a story that really gripped of how it was like to be him; I was hooked and had myself my own copy. Wonder if you guys read this one?
