Well you are absolutely right that there are many benefits in call center jobs which executive jobs have. I applied for one job in a call center but wasn't selected. It was not because of my english speaking capabilty. I didn't have any previous experience relevant to customer services. All my experience is of being a network administrator.

Being a call center agent is like a college life. In school, you have teachers, in call center you have trainors. School you are being graded, in a call center you are evaludated base on your score cards. School have field trips, call center do have team buildings. The only difference is, in school you pay for your tuition fee, in call center you are being paid. :)

yeah, i know it's really hard meeting quotas. i've worked as an inbound and outbound call center agent before and now im into teaching. im planning of putting my homebased call center business. im into researching first. anyway, if u dont have quotas (because that gives us the pressure), it is a relaxing job cos u get to work in a perfect environment an all you have to do is to talk. unfortunately, most call centers are into telemarketing.

i have been hearing about the life in being a call center agent. not to mention the hectic schedules and shifting and the like. but either way, it is a decent job and a source of definite earning for livelihood.

i understand how it feels because i was also able to work in a call center industry before. yes, the work is quite difficult especially if you're in a graveyard shift (lucky me, im always day shift!) :) The compensation and salary is really high, plus the other benefits. Just always take good care of your health and God bless!
