Dress comfortably or trendy? Pants/ Jeans or Skirt? Formal or Casual?

I have a great contrast between myself and a friend. Ever since I became a homemaker and stay in US. I usually wear a T-shirt and jean with a pair of Timberland boots. I dress like this almost everyday. I have yet to put on a dress or skirt since I am here. On the other hand, my friend dress herself up even bringing her child to the playground which is probably 0.2 miles from our apartment. She will doll herself up to brighten up her day. She had tried to convince me to change my outlook and she told me that woman are born pretty and this all depend on clothing. I told her that I am a lazy woman...LOL I love to wear comfortably which is jeans and t-shirt for myself. Of course with a pair of comfortable walking boots. And, I love to dress casual since I am not working. I am not a trendy person so my clothing are the same for all this years. How about you? What's your preference?
