When giving alms to the poor begging on the road may give you a little satisfaction of having done your good deed for the day, are we doing the right thing ? Are we encouraging them to beg and make a living. I know for sure that in my country, beggars make a lot of money everyday. Whenever I tell a beggar to come and work for me, they quickly disappear. I am sure there may be some who genuinely need alms. How can we distinguish them and yet be sure we are not encouraging begging ?
