From the birth of my youngest I was given Pampers Swaddlers, and I fell in love with them. I am not sure if these were around 10 years ago when I had my oldest son. But Pampers Swaddlers seemed perfect, and I only bought them off the internet. It is hard for me to get into the city because of back problems. You know lifting a stroller up and down stairs on the subway. And in my nieghborhood, they only sell the smaller packages for an increased price. So anyway one day I realized that I didn't have enough diapers to last me the weekend and if I ordered the diapers online I would not have rcvd them until the following Tues., so I trekked into Queens to the all mighty Costcos, they only had Huggies, honestly I dont even remember the name of them. And I am too lazy to go into the baby's bedroom and check the box. Anyway I hate these diapers, absorbent yes, annoying even more so. Every time the baby urinates little white balls of I dont know what. Fuzz appear I am pretty disapointed and cannot wait to get another box of Pampers. What diapers do you use?

I will only allow cloth diapers in my house. I have an environmental award for those not using disposibles of any kind. I want all my charges potty trained if possible by the time they are 2 1/2 years of age,as almost all kids in my time were. thank you for the discussion.

I can understand that, there are many in your possition. As I am only a babysitter,it is much easier, yes I do a lot of the laundry, but it is my house so have the equipment, and I do supply the diapers and plastic pants if they do not have them when they arrive. I have done the award systen for around 30 years now,and have had quite a bit of success changing peoples minds about the damage done by disposables, but like you, there are many that just cannot change over. thank you for you approvale. have a great day.

Congrats to you on your award and onbeing able to use disposables. Im my life that just could not fly. Living where we live we are not allowed to have washing machines in our apartments and washing them by hand or holding them over a day ortwo for a laundry service to come just could was not an option.

im a mother of 3 young babies and in the beginning when i had my first son,we started using all the diapers from my baby shower.and i had pamper, luv, huggies, swaddlers.we had enough diapers to get thru a couple of months which was great because they are so expensive.then i decided that i liked the swaddlers the best they held alot more pee to me.so i stuck to them until one day my aunt came over with 2 boxes of walmart brand diapers called whiteclouds.i never heard of them before,so we tried them and the very first time using them i was so impressed and i made up my mind for now on we only use whiteclouds.they are so much cheaper and hold so much more for your money.especially the way babies go thru them so fast.they have a thicker quality too.to me luvs and pampers are too thinand skimpy.now all 3 of my babies use these, and i highly recommend them to everyone out there.trust me you will like them and save money.great topicand disscussion.

I think I was pretty lucky most of the diapers we recvd from the baby shower were swaddlers, lol mostly because I think my aunt who is a nurse told everyone she was getting me a bunch. Especially since I knew she took a big old box of them from her job. The other diapers we got as far as the huggies brand and luvs, I used a few times and ended up donating them to a young womans shelter in Manhattan. I aslo recvd a bunch of diapers by a brand named Parents Choice and found they are the worst. I don't believe that there is a walmart in my area, I live in Manhattan but I think I might buy a pack from them online. Thanks for the tip.

I always used pampers. They were just as cheap as any other brand and work wonderfull. If I ever had another child I would use pampers. When My boys werew potty training I liked the Huggies pull ups better. They seemed to hold more.

I liked the Swaddlers best when my son was a newborn, too. Then once he outgrew them, we switched to Pampers Baby Dry for daytime, and Huggies Supreme for night time. My son has sensitive skin and breaks out in a rash if we leave him in Pampers over night. He sleeps for ten hours, and the Pampers just can't keep him dry that long. We tried the Cruisers by Pampers, too, and we liked the way they fit. But he seemed to be allergic to something in them. He would get a rash both times we tried to use them. We tried using a bunch of different cheaper diapers, but never found any that worked for us. The Target diapers worked when he was in a size 2 and 3, but then he went through a huge growth spurt. They are shorter than the brand name ones, so we had a problem with him leaking out the top of the diaper. We would have had to move up two sizes to make it work, and then they would have been too big around! So we watch for sales and use coupons and get Huggies and Pampers just as cheap as the Walmart or Target ones anyway. Now my son is 18 months old, and only sleeps in a diaper (He's no where near making it through the night without going potty). We use Easy Ups and Pull Ups for nap time and when we are going somewhere. We've just started using real underwear the rest of the time, if we are just at home.

I could only use Huggies on my 3 daughters cause if I used anything else they got the worst rash ever...So I have always stuck with the huggies. I wish I could of used a cheaper diaper but that wasn't going to happen with my girls.LOL
