do you believe in destiny?

It may seem corny, but... I saw an episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya" some time ago (that's a local show that features true stories) where the girl prayed that if she would meet her true love, he'd be wearing red and he would give her a blue rose. Strangely, when she met this guy who had been her phone pal for a long time, he was wearing red and he gave her a blue rose... needless to say, she later married him. They believed that they were "destined for each other." Now I've been dreaming of this unknown guy since I was 12 and 15 years later I still have to meet anyone who meets his general description. Which means for me this whole "destiny" thing seems really far out. Do you or do you not believe in destiny and why?
