Why don't you have your own domain name? Why do you have your own domain name?

Well, I see a lot of people on this forum claiming to be making a lot of money doing stuff online. However, they always have their website, blogs, etc. set up on blogspot, tripod, etc. If you make so much money, why not get your own domain name with your own hosting? Also, for those who do have their own domain name, why do you have one?

I have my own domain name because I felt to be professional with offering to build web sites, it would be necessary to do such a thing. That's the only reason I got my domain was for business purposes and to offer a web design service. I also post up links of my writings so that in case I could get something to work on in that department. Just recently added up something with designing templates though I will probably code some more up for design.

I have my own domain name. I did it because someone led me to do that. I'm having lots of fun with it and with creating sub domains.

Well.. it sure is fun to be able to create multiple sub-domains.... My blog is a subdomain of my primary domain: blog.gadodia.net
