It all depends on what you are looking for in a smaller dog. Some people like minpins, which are always active and are a lot like having a 3 year old for 15-18 years...other people like dogs like the last poster posted. It's really all about the type of dog you'd like, besides just the size. Please do a lot of research before you decide to breed dogs. There are a lot of unwanted pets out there already. If you do decide to breed, make the purchasers of your puppies agree to spay/neuter them so that there are not so many unwanted dogs! Good luck!!!

If you want to breed dogs - try going with pure breed - maybe you need to ask a breeder if you don't have a clue what you're doing. Cross breeds are fine but as another person mentioned - Pomeranian x Maltese is still a mongrel breed & their life span isn't 20 years i'm afraid - both breeds have a life span of about 12 years - average so combining to 2 wont guarantee you an extra 8 years - they live longer depending on their health & how well you take care of them. Perhaps you could call a few dog breeders near you find out what exactly is involved. We had a few litters of Maltese x Shih Tzu's & they're great dogs but they're long haired so they do require a lot of maintenance & there's never a guarantee you'll always sell the pups so you could end up being stuck with a lot of extra dogs. You might want to look in to becoming a registered breeder - that way people are more likely to buy dogs from you. If you do become a registered breeder - then you HAVE to breed pure bred dogs as you cant be registered to breed cross-bred dogs. I'd think about something like a chihuahua or if you have a thing against hair, maybe a toy or miniature poodle - both are small & neither malt coz they don't have fur - it's more of a wool! Good Luck :)
