Philippines won the World Cup at 5-1 but it was a heart breaking last match that Ponce De Leon KOed Boom2 Bautista at first round. What was your view on these matches

The only two we saw on television here on HBO was the Gonzalez/Penalosa fight and the main event, Ponce de Leon/Bautista. I thought that that Penalosa fight was interesting, although it looked as though Gonzalez was dominating the fight and would have ran away easily if he didn't take that clean shot to the liver. I thought Penalosa, at the most, won 2 rounds before the knockout. Meanwhile, how bad was Bautista? It's amazing that a simple 1-2 can be so effective on him. I don't think he's done by any stretch of the imagination, but he was never a top prospect to me and I think it showed there that there is still a lot of work to be done. They were good matches though. Speaking of which, they should just give trainer Freddie Roach honorary citizenship to the Philippines with all the boxers he trains from there.

Bautista is 21, too young and still a lot of time to improve especially his defense he cannot just rely on his power punch, he must also try to defend himself
