Customer Service Calls - where are your kids when you're on these calls?

I've read a lot on mylot and on the internet about these work from home opportunities for call centers, etc. but most of the people I ran into doing these jobs are stay at home moms trying to earn money. Which leads me to my question - where are your kids when you are on these calls? Aren't they calling your name, tugging on your pants, fighting with each other? I do real estate too and it never fails - as soon as I am on the phone with a client - all hell breaks loose in my house! LOL! How do you handle your kids when on these calls?

I'm a virtual assistant and I dread being on the phone when my toddler is around, because she hates it and goes crazy. Lucky my clients are understanding. I do all my work at night and on weekends. I guess these mums have children in school or daycare when they're working. I would hope so, if not they would find their houses trashed I would imagine if they let young kids loose on their own, or the kids could get injured. Right now I hear my toddler in my son's room and I had better check on things.
