left handed people are sposed to be smarter and more accident prone (because everything is made for righties)...all polar bears are left handed and more cats are left pawed than right... our daughter is left handed although no one else is in our family! oh its also national skinny dipping day!! :-)

I believe that a lot of people who are 'right-handed' (that is, who write with their right hand) are actually left-handed. We didn't know it at the time, but when my brother was in grade school he wanted to use his left hand. He was not allowed to use his left hand, and his hand-writing has been awful- I think it's because he just doesn't have any coordination in that hand. I know that my brother wasn't the only one who was forced to use his right hand to write in grade school, so I wonder how many right-handed lefties there are in the world.

I am left handed, my husband and my daughter are left handed too. So it's my 2 sisters and my mom. I will congratulate them since today it's left handed day! Thank you for letting me know about the polar bears and cats, it's interesting.

I am left handed and so was my father and I missed left-handed day, darn it! Oh, I won't regret skipping national skinny dipping day. I suppose our intelligence has to do with my left handed ancestors being able to pick themselves up from the ground before those horses and riders almost ran over them. I am also slightly ambidextrous, so if I had to use my right hand, I can, but the left hand is so much easier, but I sure wish the scissors for left-handers were less expensive.

I never knew there was a National Left handed day. I am left handed, I believe my three year old daughter will be, and my kids father is too. I never heard of smarter, but I have heard that we are more creative, probably because we have to survive in a right-handed world.
