I love pilates. It isn't easy. I've been an athlete for years and I really love it. I think it would be really challenging for someone who is out of shape to start with. But it works mostly your core muscles, which most people ignore completely. So it effects, in a positive way, your posture, your balance, and is a great way to slowly build muscle in your core - your back and your abs. And can build a strong base to help you lose weight, or develop other muscles, and helping to keep you from getting hurt. I like it, but it takes patience!
