How much do you spent on eating per month?

I am getting fat now and I am going to losing my weight. I used to spent much money on food. I never limited my mouth.Once I even spent 2000$ on food for just one month. Now I can't run fast and can't jump high like before. I am fond of playing basketball but my weight limited my skills.
I am worry about that,it's unhealthy.
So I just want to know how much money do you usully spent on eating per month?

Hi limeng371! My that is a lot of money ($2000). I guess, if you're not eating the right food it would definitely affect your health. I hope you will be more careful on what you eat so you can maximize your skills and potential, I mean physically. However, I don't have that much to spend on food because I have a limited budget. I am a housewife so I try to make do with the budget I have, we are three in our household...my hubby, myself and our maid. I buy a lot of fish, vegies and fruits and we always have rice..I try to avoid pork and beef, and if I will have to prepare meat I will usually cook chicken. I cook and prepare our meals everyday and avoided dining out, that way I can save a lot. I spend 20,000 pesos on food (including groceries) and that is approximately $450.
