I get cracked lips from wearing lipstick..

Everytime i use lipstick, i get cracked lips... i tried using those which were said as hypoallergenics? Why do i still get cracked lips?.. i am not using a lip balm and i am not so fond of using them in the future.. how will i prevent lip cracking even when i put on lipstick all the time? I don't usually wear make-up on when i go to work, just lipstick... but if i do have cracked lips.. i already have nothing to wear on my face..:-(

Propably you are using a matte lipstick. you should go for lipsticks with moisture. The differents cosmetic lines like maybelline, revlon, loreal, avon etc...have their own version.
if you dont want to change lipsticks, try using a lip balm first. perferably one that contains, aloe vera or jojoba oil.

Yes i used to put on a matte loreal lipstick, which i really liked the pinkish color of.. but then i stopped using it for some time, only on occasions where make-up and lipstick are necessary.. I will remember to buy that lip balm with aloe or jojoba oil.. thanks for the tip.

There are lipsticks whose ingredients is very harsh to the skin or our skin is very sensitive to a certain chemical component of make up. Before I put on a lipstick I always have first a lip balm as my base or lip balm alone. It softened my lips.

Use Noxema. It doesn't have the best taste? But it does work.
If your lips are VERY bad, musicians who have to use their lips to play an instrument for a living know the real trick..take an aspirin, dissolve it in a TINY bit of water to make a thin paste and put that on before bed. When you wake up your lips will be healed. (Don't know why? It works.)
