what is the most important thing in one's life ?

i am always wondering what is the most important thing in one's life ? and sometimes i really get confused .it just occurs to me that sometimes what i've done is meaningless. one of my e-pals said that to me it is important that i always do my best and never give up .it is also important that people think of me as a good friend and someone they can count on.it seems nice and simple ,isn't it ?but sometimes it is really a problem ! everyone has his or her own ideas about the question !in my opinion ,to be happy mostly would be the answer . but how to be happy mostly ? that is we can realise our dreams and values.and now here comes a new question ? how to realise one's dreams ? and i think most people will respond like that work hard and never give up easily . but on the way to succeed , we have to face up to different kinds of difficulties undoubtedly.and overcoming difficulties is always hard .one pain ,one gain .and one gain ,one pain .life is a combination of happiness and sorrow .when we get something ,at exactly the same time , you lose something ,too. just as the old saying . the more you learn,more you know ,the more you know ,the more you forget ,the less you know ,so why bother to learn? yeah~ it is really a confused thing . and now a picture come into my mind . i am health and have a good job .i can earn enough money to buy what i want .and at the same time i have enough spare time to do what i want .and travelling once in a year would be nice . so what is your opinion towards the question !
