divorce a regular deal for women

I think your statement is rather naive Raunak. Your profile shows you are 18 so I'm assuming you're not yet married, you cannot possibly understand the intricacies of married life and what causes a couple to get to a stage where divorce is the only option. Years ago women in India put up with their husband beating the hell out of them or cheating on them because society would look down on them if they left their husbands. Nowadays women have more independence so they are able to leave a marriage with their heads held high. Even so, I know people in India who are divorced and the men are easily able to get remarried but it's not so easy for the women no matter whose fault the breakdown in marriage was. So I would ask that you think about how difficult it really is to end a marriage and how awful people feel (both men and women) when they go through something like a divorce rather than making a sweeping statement that "more women are filing a case for divorce". As someone who has been through a divorce, I sincerely hope you never have to go through anything like that in your life. ALL of the people I've ever met who got divorced have said to me "I never thought THAT I would have a divorce, I always though it was something that happened to other people!"
